In this course, you will learn about the most common grammar issues plaguing today’s writers, including comma splices, run-on sentences, dangling modifiers, misuse of commas, awkward phrasing, and much, much more.
The goal of this course is to familiarize you with basic grammar pitfalls and to help you avoid these pitfalls in your writing, thereby making your writing more professional and powerful. You will also be given the tools to correct these errors when they do occur in your writing.
At completion, you’ll have the tools to master any grammar questions you have.
Format: 3-6 minute videos, quizzes, and a final exam
Field of study: Communications and Marketing
Prerequisites: We will review basic sentence structure at the beginning of the course, but you will need to be very familiar with the English language to benefit from the course. This is not an ESL course, though it may be useful to second language learners who already have a grasp of vocabulary and are looking to improve grammatical awareness.
