Using only Excel, our CPE qualifying intro to data analytics online course teaches you the essential skills to analyze, interpret, and present large quantities of data.
We start by demystifying the terms big data and data analytics before jumping into our statistics bootcamp (don’t worry, it’s not as scary as it sounds) to learn the key analytics tools.
Armed with these tools, we’ll dive into a case study where we’ll use various analytical tools to analyze our data, come up with hypotheses, and test our assumptions. We top everything off by learning how to present data using a dynamic dashboard.
At completion, you’ll know how to use analytical techniques to analyze data sets.
We strongly recommend taking our Dynamic Dashboards course which goes hand-and-hand with this course.
Format: 3-6 minute videos, quizzes, and a final exam
Field of study: Specialized Knowledge
Prerequisites: You don’t need ANY background in statistics or advanced math. However, you should have an intermediate knowledge of Excel (e.g. IF statements, VLOOKUP, COUNTIFS, etc.). If you are not comfortable with these Excel tools, we highly recommend taking our Microsoft Excel Bootcamp.
